疙瘩汤 (Dough Drop Soup/Ge Da Soup)
Ingredients:
- 1 cup flour
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 tomato (chopped)
- 1 small carrot (diced)/shredded Pak Choi
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Cooking Steps:
- 1. Make Dough Drops: Mix flour and a little water until it forms a crumbly dough. Set aside.
- 2. Cook Vegetables: Heat oil in a pot, add garlic, tomatoes, and carrots/Pak Choi, and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- 3. Add Water: Pour in water/chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- 4. Drop in Dough: Add the dough crumbles into the soup, stirring gently. Let cook for 5-7 minutes.
- 5. Finish and Serve: Stir in the beaten egg and season with soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Serve hot.
